Is there any way to get the hash of new files on Winmx

Searching for files on Winmx is pointless. I am told that the "find
sources" option does not flood the servers like a regular search does.
Being able to get the hash of files would bypass regular search. Is
there a way to do this?

The main alternative at this time, Mainly because a gremlin is mucking
with the data streams of winmx, IS TO VISIT any of the chat rooms. There
you can browse the folks in that room for files to explore.

Find a File and queue it, then visit the transfers window and right
click the item in your downloads window, and select 'Search for
Alternates and use that hash sum as displayed in the search box
That is if it doesn't start soon for you anyway.

Other then that, Since I haven't Really Messed With Using Hash (hardly
any) I am out of any other help with that particular query.

AND since the gremlin is mucking about, its not as easy to locate rooms
via the original methods SO, visiting any of these sites can give you
the address information needed to plug into winmx to visit a room
