If you look a little closer at those results, you will find that the
files are avi.

While it is the best workaround to use .mkv.avi extension, it is not
the same as searching for mkv files (which do exist and will show up
in a browse, but not a search). And......mkv files are video files.

Don't mess with Winmx for video, use Bittorrent, you'll find what you want
there.

Winmx needs a way to search for them.
Users sharing them should add the mkv file extension to the list
of file types they are sharing.

They show up in a browse. Searching for video does not list the ones
that are shared.

They probably don't show up in search because users sharing them
have *not* added the mkv file extension in the "Library>Settings"
pop-up box, where you can add (by typing them in) shared file
types, ie, file extensions.
